Appointment of the Hamalainen Pelican Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Peter Michael Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of the Hamalainen Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center.  The Hamalainen Pelican Fellow, Dr. Raj Kothapalli, will be pursuing innovative prostate cancer research in the area of photoacoustic imaging, under the direction of Dr. Sanjiv Sam Gambhir, Head of Nuclear Medicine; Director, Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford (MIPS); and Professor in the Departments of Radiology & Bioengineering.  The Fellowship has been funded by Mr. Pasi Hamalainen and his wife, Dr. Carey Cullinane, a surgical oncologist trained in cancer genetics.  Dr. Cullinane serves on the Board of Advisors of the Peter Michael Foundation.
